RETAINER SERVICES

Why choose a retainer program?

  • If you know that you will need design services throughout the year, but don't want to hire a full-time designer, my retainer program is for you.

  • You get a discounted rate compared to my normal hourly rate and a la carte rates.

  • You pay a set amount each month for the duration of your contract and don't have to worry about fluctuating design fees.

  • You get access to a professional designer without the overhead costs of an employee.

How does it work?

A retainer fee is like a monthly design fee. It is paid upfront each month before work is ordered. Essentially, you are paying for time versus a specific service.

Based on the retainer package you select, I will block out my schedule with the appropriate amount of hours each month and plan my workload accordingly. You have peace of mind knowing that you will receive a pre-established amount of work each month, without worrying about other client projects ahead of you.

 

BASIC RETAINER

  • 10 hours per month (2.5 hours per week)

  • E-mail support

  • Priority service in projects

  • 1 call per month to review project load

Investment: $460/month

DELUXE RETAINER

  • 20 hours per month (5 hours per week)

  • E-mail support

  • Priority service in projects

  • 2 calls/Zoom per month to review project load

Investment: $850/month

PREMIUM RETAINER

  • 40 hours per month (10 hours per week)

  • E-mail Support

  • Priority service in projects

  • bi-weekly call/ Zoom per month to review project load

Investment: $1,600/month

 
 

Graphic Design Retainer Details:

  • 2 or 3month minimum commitment. At the end of term, we will re-evalaute the program to ensure the number of hours are fitting your business needs. After that, we can move to 6, 9, or 12 month commitments.

  • Each retainer includes a set number of hours per week. Overage in hours each week will be billed at the standard hourly rate of $40 per hour.

  • Unused hours expire at the end of each week. This is to ensure that I can allocate time for your projects each week and plan my workload accordingly.

  • You will get an invoice on the first day of each month. Invoice will include the monthly retainer rate for that month and any additional charges from previous month.

What type of services can be used in the Graphic Designer Retainer programs?

  • Print Materials – book covers, illustrations, album art, apparel design, branding materials

  • Digital Materials – email templates, social media graphics, blog banners, digital album art, and other web graphics

  • Ad Design – print and web ads

  • Web Design – portfolio/blog/e-commerce site creation, updates

  • Services do not include additional costs like stock photography & fonts

  • Additional services are available upon request.

  • Please note: Services do not include logo design. Logos will be charged at hourly rate of $40/hour.

1. Contact me.

If I have availability, I'll set up a 30-minute phone call so I can hear more about your project and so that we can get to know each other. I want to learn all about your business and goals. We’ll review your business needs and upcoming projects. 

2. First payment.

Once the paperwork is completed and the first retainer fee is paid, we will discuss all your projects needed for the month and get to work! Prior to the 2nd month, we will have a phone call to review the next month’s priorities.

3. Repeat. 

We will repeat the process each month for the remainder of the program you selected.

4. Reevaluate. 

At the end of your contract, we will review the program to see if you want to adjust the number of hours reserved each month before signing again.
